The Mortgage Bankers Association's seasonally adjusted market index fell 2.7% to 199.2. The purchase index dropped 4.0% to 139.3, while the refinance index declined 0.4% to 513.5; the average 30-year mortgage rate was 7.50%, up 1 basis point.
