Mortgage Bankers' Assn. weekly applications survey
TLT•The U.S. market mortgage applications index fell 1.2% in the latest week, while the 30-year mortgage rate declined 7 basis points to 7.30%.
1. Weekly applications
The seasonally adjusted market index fell 1.2% to 192.6. The purchase index declined 2.0% to 131.4, while the refinance index rose 0.1% to 517.5.
2. Mortgage rate
The average contract rate for a 30-year mortgage fell 7 basis points to 7.30%. The survey covers more than 75% of U.S. retail residential mortgage applications.
