XLE•Port Arthur refinery restarts small CDU after storm disruptions
HOUSTON, Sept. 3 (Reuters) - Motiva Enterprises began restarting the small crude distillation unit (CDU) at its 656,400 barrel-per-day (bpd) Port Arthur, Texas refinery on Thursday, said people familiar with plant operations.
The 90,000-bpd VPS-2 CDU was among several units knocked out of production on Tuesday night as Tropical Storm Eduoard passed near the refinery, which is the largest in the United States, the sources said.
