Race slots into October calendar
The race in Malaysia, at a circuit that last hosted Formula One in 2017, will slot in between the Azerbaijan Grand Prix on September 26 and Singapore on October 11.
Sepang to host Bahrain replacement race
BUDAPEST, July 26 (Reuters) - Malaysia's Sepang circuit will host a replacement race for the Bahrain Grand Prix on October 4, Formula One announced on Sunday.
The Liberty Media-owned sport said in a statement at Sunday's Hungarian Grand Prix that the race would officially be designated the "Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix in Malaysia".
Bahrain and Saudi Arabia rounds were called off
Bahrain's regular race in April was called off, along with the Saudi Arabian round in Jeddah, due to the Iran war and the situation in the Middle East.
