Motorola Solutions completes USD 1.5 billion acquisition of D-Fend Solutions

Motorola Solutions completed its acquisition of counter-drone technology provider D-Fend Solutions for USD 1.5 billion.

The deal adds RF-based cyber takeover capability designed to seize control of unauthorized drones, then guide them to a designated landing zone.

Motorola plans to integrate D-Fend into its public-safety security ecosystem to expand airspace protection for critical infrastructure customers.

D-Fend CEO Zohar Halachmi will continue to lead the unit, serving as senior vice president of Motorola’s counter-drone business.
