Motorola Solutions Integrates T-Mobile 5G and Starlink Satellite into APX NEXT Radios
Motorola Solutions will add T-Mobile’s T-Priority 5G and Starlink-powered T-Satellite LEO connectivity to APX NEXT radios, extending resilient voice and data for over 1.3 million current broadband push-to-talk users. The multi-bearer radios also support land mobile radio and Wi-Fi, delivering FedRAMP High–secured communications with elevated network priority for first responders.

Motorola Solutions and T-Mobile have partnered to integrate T-Priority 5G and T-Satellite LEO direct-to-cell connectivity into APX NEXT smart radios. This upgrade enables first responders to maintain uninterrupted voice and data communications by intelligently switching across land mobile radio, 5G, Wi-Fi and Starlink satellite networks.
2. Product and Deployment Stats
APX NEXT radios, paired with AI assistant Assist and SVX body cameras, now deliver multi-bearer resiliency and real-time intelligence for emergency operations. Motorola Solutions has deployed more than 13,000 two-way radio networks globally and over 500 broadband push-to-talk deployments, serving 1.3 million users worldwide.
3. Security and Priority Features
Both APX NEXT and SVX systems hold FedRAMP High authorization, meeting the highest federal standards for data security and availability. T-Priority offers up to five times greater network priority to shield first responders from public congestion and ensure clear, reliable communications.
