Motorola Solutions has signed a multi-year agreement to provide its advanced security and communications technology to the Detroit Pistons’ new practice facility, the largest in NBA history. The deal underscores Motorola Solutions’ strategy to expand its presence in high-profile sports and entertainment venues.

Under the contract, Motorola Solutions will install its CommandCentral command-and-control software platform alongside APX NEXT radios to deliver real-time situational awareness, unified voice and data communications, and seamless video surveillance integration throughout the facility.

The multi-million-dollar contract is expected to contribute to Motorola Solutions’ recurring software and services revenue streams, reinforcing the company’s portfolio of long-term, subscription-based offerings in safety and security markets.
