Over the past four years, MPLX has consistently grown its quarterly distribution by at least 10%, including 12.5% hikes in both 2024 and 2025. As of the end of the third quarter, the partnership reported a leverage ratio of 3.7 times and a distribution coverage ratio of 1.3 times, underscoring the sustainability of its payouts. MPLX has bolstered its asset portfolio through a combination of acquisitions and organic build-outs in key basins. The partnership recently acquired the remaining 55% interest in the BANGL pipeline and is undertaking capacity expansions to support growing throughput.
