MUFG names Valeria Strappa head of global transaction banking for Americas
MUFG•MUFG appoints Strappa to Americas transaction banking role
Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group named Valeria “Val” Strappa head of Global Transaction Banking for the Americas on July 20, 2026.
The role covers the United States, Canada and Latin America.
Strappa joined from J.P. Morgan Payments, where she held senior leadership roles across the Americas and globally for nearly a decade. Earlier roles included leadership positions at Citi, GE Capital and McKinsey.
Her mandate includes driving growth, digital modernization and tighter coordination with Corporate & Investment Banking across the region.
