MUFG teams with Digital Asset, Progmat on Canton Network pilot for on-chain JGB repo trades

Automation and settlement goals
The proof-of-concept also aims to automate the full repo lifecycle via a lending protocol from Secured Finance to support intraday, near real-time settlement.
The strategic goal is faster settlement, lower operational friction, and improved funding efficiency through extended settlement windows.
MUFG launches proof-of-concept for on-chain JGB repos
Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group launched a proof-of-concept with Digital Asset Holdings, Progmat, and four MUFG units for on-chain JGB repos.
The project uses Canton Network to test delivery-versus-payment settlement of JGBs versus digital money such as tokenized deposits or stablecoins.
