NAB lifts 2026 global growth forecast to 3.1% as Iran war fallout seen contained

NAB said the ongoing Iran conflict kept risks skewed to the downside.
It also said Japan's intervention in the yen versus the US dollar underscored pressure on the Bank of Japan to accelerate rate hikes.
Global growth forecast nudged higher
NAB lifted its 2026 global growth forecast to 3.1% from 3.0% on stronger-than-expected second-quarter GDP prints.
The bank said the stabilization in second-quarter growth signaled a contained economic fallout from the Iran war.
It kept its 2027 global growth outlook at 3.3%.
