Nadella Unveils Copilot Cowork, Pushes Cheaper AI Tools and DeepSeek Hosting

CEO Satya Nadella said the AI industry should move away from racing to build the most advanced frontier models and instead prioritize lower operational costs, wider access to a variety of systems and stronger public trust in AI deployments.
2. Launch of Copilot Cowork and DeepSeek Hosting
Microsoft recently launched Copilot Cowork, an autonomous agent that can switch between models for longer tasks, and is evaluating hosting DeepSeek’s lower-cost models to offer customers more flexible and affordable AI options.
