Nano Nuclear selected by AFWERX for Air Force contract; shares rise
NNE•AFWERX contract drives premarket gains
Shares of nuclear technology company Nano Nuclear Energy NNE.O were up 4.7% to $16.33 premarket.
NNE was selected by AFWERX — the innovation and technology incubator of the U.S. Air Force — for a Small Business Innovation Research Phase I contract focused on its KRONOS MMR Energy System.
Work under the contract started July 21 to support future deployment across additional Air Force installations and the broader Department of War.
As of the last close, NNE was down 35% year to date.
