Nasdaq Verafin partners with Q6 Cyber to add dark web fraud intelligence to bank platform
NDAQ•Partnership to expand fraud detection
Nasdaq Verafin partnered with Q6 Cyber to integrate dark web fraud intelligence into Verafin’s fraud and anti-money laundering platform.
The combined dataset is aimed at earlier detection of scams, check fraud, card fraud and account takeover, using Q6 Cyber monitoring alongside Verafin’s consortium network.
Signals to appear in existing workflows
Nasdaq Verafin plans to surface Q6 Cyber signals as high-risk alerts inside existing investigation workflows to speed prevention and response.
Q6 Cyber cited 1.2 million compromised checks, 57 million credentials and 158 million payment cards collected in the past 18 months.
A proof-of-concept found a 10-day average lead time between a stolen check listing appearing online and the first fraudulent return.
