National Beverage slides as higher input costs weigh on results

Shares of National Beverage FIZZ.O were down 5.6% at $29.2 in premarket trading after the beverage maker missed estimates on first-quarter earnings and revenue.
At current levels, the stock was set to open at a two-month low.
The company said higher input costs, including prices of aluminum, fuel, freight and tariffs, along with weak consumer sentiment, weighed on performance.
FIZZ's first-quarter sales of $330.6 million missed estimates of $342 million, according to LSEG-compiled data.
The company's first-quarter earnings per share of 50 cents also missed Street expectations of 59 cents, the data showed.
Of the two analysts covering the stock, one rates it "hold" and the other "sell"; their median price target is $32, according to LSEG data.
Up to the last close, the stock was up 7% year to date.
