NatWest raised its outlook, targeting about GBP 17.9 billion in total income excluding notable items and now expecting buybacks to restart in FY 2026.
H1 FY26 results
NatWest posted H1’26 attributable profit of GBP 3.04 billion, up 22% from H1’25; EPS rose 23.3% to 38.1p.
Total income climbed 11% to GBP 8.86 billion, while net interest income excluding notable items rose 12.6% to GBP 6.89 billion.
Profitability improved as the cost:income ratio fell 2.8 percentage points to 46%, driving return on tangible equity up 1.6 percentage points to 19.7%.
Balance-sheet growth continued, with customer loans up 6.8% to GBP 410 billion and customer deposits up 2.7% to GBP 448 billion.
