Neocloud financing hinges increasingly on customer credit, Acquinox Capital says
QQQ•Acquinox Capital warned that AI cloud providers face growing financing risks as contracted capacity struggles to become revenue-generating infrastructure. CoreWeave, Nscale and Crusoe raised over $11 billion in September 2026, with more than $340 billion in combined contract value.
1. Contracts and financing risks
Acquinox Capital said power constraints and construction delays threaten providers’ ability to convert contracted capacity into revenue, while tighter capital markets increase refinancing risks. Only $2.6 billion of Nscale’s $103.4 billion contract value was active at August-end, and its largest contract depends on securing financing. CoreWeave’s 9.625% notes due 2032 yielded about 14.8% on October 14, contrasting with its investment-grade, contract-backed facility.
