NeOnc reports early improvement in child receiving NEO100 under compassionate use
NTHI•NeOnc Technologies reported early improvement in a three-year-old with an aggressive brain tumor who received investigational NEO100 under compassionate use in Abu Dhabi. Treating physicians said he is breathing without ventilator support and has emerging leg movement, but the single-patient observations do not establish causation, and pediatric safety and efficacy remain unproven.
1. Early clinical observations
NeOnc Technologies reported that a three-year-old boy with an aggressive brain tumor showed early improvement after receiving investigational NEO100 under compassionate use in Abu Dhabi. Treating physicians reported that he is breathing without ventilator support and has emerging leg movement. The treatment was outside the NEO100-03 pediatric trial because he did not meet eligibility criteria; the observations do not establish that NEO100 caused the improvement.
