Netflix Seals TF1 Deal to Add Live Channels, Eyes Global Partnerships

Netflix launched an agreement with French broadcaster TF1 to integrate its live television channels and on-demand library directly into the streaming service for all subscribers in France, marking the first time the company has bundled a major broadcaster’s full channel offering.

Co-CEO Greg Peters said the company will leverage the TF1 collaboration as a blueprint for structuring similar partnerships in other markets, aiming to broaden its content portfolio beyond licensed titles and in-house originals through joint ventures.

While open to alliances, Netflix reaffirmed its commitment to organic growth and strategic flexibility, dismissing speculation about major acquisitions, including recent rumors of a Lionsgate takeover and its withdrawal from the Warner Bros Discovery asset bidding.
