New Found Gold Drills 9.51g/t over 19.85m and 36.1g/t at Queensway
New Found Gold’s 2025 infill drilling at Queensway delivered 22,796m in 201 holes, confirming AFZ Core continuity with intercepts like 9.51g/t over 19.85m at Keats West and 36.1g/t over 2m at Keats. Step-out drilling hit 14.1g/t over 2.4m below Iceberg pit and site work provided feasibility data for planned infrastructure.
1. 2025 Infill Drilling Program
The company completed 22,796m of infill drilling in 201 diamond drill holes across Keats West, Iceberg and Keats open pits in 2025, designed to upgrade inferred resources to indicated status within the Phase 1 open pits. Results confirmed continuity of the AFZ Core block model and will feed into the next resource update.
2. Key High-Grade Intercepts
Notable intercepts included 9.51g/t Au over 19.85m at Keats West, 36.1g/t over 2.00m at Keats, and 8.40g/t over 12.45m at Iceberg, while step-out drilling below Phase 2 open pits yielded 14.1g/t over 2.40m under Iceberg and 9.15g/t over 7.15m beneath Keats.
3. Pre-Development Drilling
Pre-development work comprised 9,435m of condemnation drilling, 2,610m of geotechnical drilling and 1,134m of hydrogeological drilling, successfully delineating areas free of mineralization for infrastructure and providing feasibility-level data for open pit design.
4. Outlook and Next Steps
The company plans follow-up drilling in 2026 to expand the resource base proximal to the AFZ Core, targeting step-out zones identified below Phase 2 open pits and integrating 2025 results into a revised preliminary economic assessment and updated mineral resource estimate.
