American Water unit New Jersey American Water will implement new water and wastewater rates on Sept. 15, 2026.
The rate reset lifts annual revenue by $68 million, supporting more than $1.4 billion of system upgrades across New Jersey.
PFAS settlement credit for eligible customers
Eligible water customers will receive a $9.88 monthly PFAS settlement bill credit for 12 months starting September 2026.
The PLUS mechanism returns more than $79 million of PFAS litigation proceeds and interest through monthly credits labeled “PLUS”.
