1. Quarterly results
New Pacific Metals reported a fiscal first-quarter 2027 net loss of $1.42 million, compared with $745,637 a year earlier. Management attributed the wider loss in part to a $293,751 foreign exchange loss, primarily from Boliviano depreciation, versus a $457,144 foreign exchange gain in the prior-year quarter.
2. Expenses and liquidity
Operating expenses rose to $1.44 million from $1.32 million, reflecting higher share-based compensation costs and increased corporate activity. Investment income increased to $316,590 from $114,051, driven by higher interest income from cash and cash equivalents. Management reported $35.94 million in working capital, sufficient to cover normal permitting and operating requirements for at least 12 months.
