NewAmsterdam Pharma doses first patient in Phase 2b SPINOZA trial of obicetrapib in preclinical Alzheimer’s disease

The SPINOZA trial will enroll about 400 adults with early biomarker evidence of Alzheimer’s disease but no noticeable symptoms, with enrollment stratified by ApoE genotype. Participants will receive obicetrapib 10 mg or placebo, and may enter an optional 26-week extension on active drug. The study builds on signals from a biomarker analysis in the Phase 3 BROADWAY study; results have not been presented.
