NexPoint Residential falls on lowered 2026 FFO forecast, wider Q3 loss
NXRT•NexPoint Residential cut its 2026 FFO-per-share forecast to $2.02 from $2.25 and its core FFO forecast to $2.22 from $2.45. Its third-quarter net loss widened to $11.53 million, or 45 cents per share, from $7.82 million, or 31 cents per share, a year earlier.

NexPoint Residential Trust lowered its 2026 FFO-per-share forecast to $2.02 from $2.25, citing weaker leasing conditions and softer property performance. It also reduced its core FFO-per-share forecast to $2.22 from $2.45.
2. Third-quarter loss
The company reported a third-quarter net loss of $11.53 million, or 45 cents per share, compared with a net loss of $7.82 million, or 31 cents per share, a year earlier. Shares fell about 7% in premarket trading.
