NEXTNEXT

NextDecade secured FIDs on LNG Trains 4 and 5 at Rio Grande and has 30 MTPA under construction with a goal of 60 MTPA capacity. It initiated FERC pre-filing for Train 6, plans full mid-year application, and reports Trains 1–3 ahead of schedule with first LNG by H1 2027.

1. Final Investment Decisions on Trains 4 and 5

NextDecade achieved positive final investment decisions on Trains 4 and 5 at the Rio Grande LNG facility in fiscal Q4 2025, unlocking development capital for both trains and positioning the project for strong anticipated economic returns.

Construction of Trains 1 through 5 continues safely, on budget and on or ahead of schedule. Trains 1–3 are tracking ahead of guaranteed substantial completion dates, demonstrating the project’s strong execution track record.

4. Commissioning and First Production Timeline

NextDecade is preparing to begin commissioning activities at the Rio Grande facility this year and anticipates first LNG production in the first half of 2027, marking a major milestone in its development pipeline.
