NioCorp places all planned Elk Creek output under long-term sales agreements
NB•NioCorp signed a 15-year take-or-pay agreement with Traxys covering 50% of planned Elk Creek ferroniobium output; a ThyssenKrupp agreement for the remaining 50% during the first 10 years remains in place.
1. Ferroniobium agreements
The binding Traxys agreement covers half of planned Elk Creek ferroniobium output for 15 years and replaces prior Traxys offtake arrangements for ferroniobium and scandium. The agreement with ThyssenKrupp for the other half during the first 10 years remains in place.
2. Other products and investment
Traxys gained exclusive marketing rights for non-ferroniobium products, subject to financing, construction, production start and final commercial terms. NioCorp said talks continue on a potential Traxys equity investment of up to $30 million, separate from the sales agreement.
