NIQ launches bid for Australia’s The U Group, owner of ReceiptJar app
NIQ•NIQ launches conditional offer for The U Group
NIQ Global Intelligence’s Australian unit launched a conditional off-market offer for all shares of Australia’s The U Group.
The U Group collects consumer-consented purchase data via its ReceiptJar app, supported by receipt intelligence and AI-powered processing.
The deal aims to add consumer-contributed purchase signals to NIQ’s data assets, strengthening measurement of shopping behavior and AI-enabled analytics.
The U Group board unanimously backed the offer.
The transaction requires 90% shareholder acceptance, with both companies operating independently until completion.
