1. 1Q2026 Sales Volume Results
NIU recorded total sales of 261,624 units across e-motorcycles, e-mopeds, e-bicycles, kick-scooters and e-bikes in the first quarter of 2026, representing a 29% increase from 203,313 units in 1Q2025. Domestic sales in China rose 35% year-over-year to 247,938 units, while international volumes fell 32% to 13,686 units.
2. Strong Domestic Growth and New NXT2.0 Model
Robust demand in China was driven by the MT2026 model, which accounted for nearly 30% of domestic unit sales, thanks to its extended range and AI-assisted navigation. In late March, NIU launched the NXT2.0 featuring an automotive-grade three-camera surround-view system and an integrated AI riding agent offering full voice control and natural interaction.
3. International Realignment Strategy
NIU is realigning its international operations to enhance efficiency by prioritizing high-growth electric motorcycles and optimizing its micro-mobility footprint. This strategic shift aims to address the 32% year-over-year decline in non-China sales and support long-term profitability.
