It has also partnered with NVIDIA to build AI-native radio access network infrastructure and expanded research initiatives to ready networks for next-generation performance.

1. AI-Driven Network Automation Investment

Nokia has allocated capital toward AI-driven network automation to enhance operational efficiency and prepare infrastructure for advanced 6G use cases. This investment targets software frameworks that automate deployment, management and optimization of radio access networks through machine learning algorithms.

2. Organizational Restructuring to Accelerate 6G Development

The company has reorganized business units to consolidate AI and 6G research under a unified leadership team focused on a 2030 6G commercialization goal. This realignment aims to streamline decision-making, boost cross-functional collaboration and reduce time-to-market for next-generation network solutions.

3. NVIDIA AI-Native Radio Access Network Collaboration

Nokia’s partnership with NVIDIA will co-develop AI-native radio access network infrastructure using NVIDIA’s GPU and software platforms. Joint efforts will focus on integrating AI for dynamic spectrum management, predictive maintenance and enhanced cell-edge performance in early 6G deployments.
