The Federal Aviation Administration said strong winds could disrupt flights at all three major New York City-area airports. American Airlines, JetBlue and United Airlines waived change fees for eligible Northeast flights from Friday through Sunday, while Amtrak warned of possible service disruptions.
New York City officials warned of possible basement flooding, power outages and travel disruptions. The National Weather Service said winds of up to 55 miles per hour could make driving difficult.
