North Sea Crude-WTI Midland, Forties trade
XLE•WTI Midland trades in Platts window
LONDON, Aug. 21 (Reuters) - U.S. WTI Midland traded three times in the Platts window on Friday, while North Sea Forties crude also traded.
Platts window indications are free on board (FOB) unless marked as cost, insurance and freight (CIF) or delivered at place.
- Four cargoes traded, four market sources said.
- WTI Midland: Petroineos sold a September 23-27 cargo to TotalEnergies at dated Brent plus $2.25 CIF Rotterdam.
- WTI Midland: TotalEnergies also bought two September 2-6 cargoes from ExxonMobil at dated Brent plus $1 and plus 85 cents CIF Rotterdam.
- The average of the two deals equated to dated Brent plus 4 cents on a FOB basis, Reuters calculations showed.
- WTI Midland: Mercuria bid for a cargo of WTI Midland at dated Brent plus $2.05 CIF Rotterdam.
- WTI Midland: Chevron offered a cargo of WTI at dated Brent plus $2.05 CIF Rotterdam.
- Forties: Unipec bought a September 21-23 cargo from Shell at dated Brent plus 40 cents FOB Hound Point.
- Johan Sverdrup: CNOOC offered a September 20-24 cargo at dated Brent plus $3.20 CIF Rotterdam.
