North Sea gas maintenance schedule adds St Fergus outage
SHEL•A North Sea gas maintenance schedule added an unplanned St Fergus outage at a subterminal, reducing gas production by 3 million cubic metres per day from Oct. 2 to Oct. 15. A separate St Fergus outage by Serica Energy is scheduled to reduce production by 4.4 million cubic metres per day from Oct. 7 to Oct. 12.
1. St Fergus outages
The schedule lists a Shell outage at St Fergus from Oct. 2 at 0400 BST to Oct. 15 at 0600 BST, with 3 million cubic metres per day unavailable because of unplanned gas production field unavailability at the subterminal. Serica Energy also has an unplanned St Fergus production outage listed from Oct. 7 to Oct. 12, affecting 4.4 million cubic metres per day.
2. Other maintenance
The schedule includes numerous planned and unplanned maintenance outages across North Sea gas infrastructure in 2026, including facilities operated by Gassco, SSE and TAQA.
