Northrop Grumman says IVEWS logs 500 flight hours in F-16 electronic warfare testing

Northrop Grumman reported flight-test results for its Integrated Viper Electronic Warfare Suite (IVEWS) for the F-16.

• The system logged more than 500 flight hours and 300 sorties against simultaneous land, surface and airborne RF threats.
• Northrop Grumman said it is the only F-16 electronic warfare suite cited with pulse-to-pulse interoperability with the AN/APG-83 SABR AESA radar, avoiding filtering or blackouts.
• The open-architecture design is aligned with the Air Force Big Iron software standard, targeting faster capability upgrades with less aircraft downtime.
• U.S. Air Force selection as the F-16 EW program of record positions IVEWS as the baseline upgrade for the fleet.
