Norwegian Cruise falls after downbeat annual profit forecast
NCLH•Shares fall after profit forecast cut
Shares of Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings NCLH.N were down as much as 10.2% at $18.63 after the company trimmed its annual profit forecast and warned bookings will remain soft for the year ahead amid Middle East tensions.
The company said FY2026 adjusted EPS is expected to be $1.50 versus the prior forecast of $1.45 to $1.79.
While many bulls had turned their focus to 2027 as 2026 was seen as already a bit of a lost year, lowering the midpoint of the guide adds to uncertainty, BNP Paribas analysts said.
However, Q2 adjusted EPS of 48 cents beat analysts' average estimate of 39 cents per share, according to data compiled by LSEG.
Up to the last close, NCLH was down about 7% year to date.
