Norwegian Luna Debuts in Europe, Heads to Miami on March 23
Norwegian Luna welcomed first guests in Civitavecchia on March 10 and will make her U.S. debut in Miami on March 23, kicking off inaugural Caribbean and Bahamas itineraries including Great Stirrup Cay and Harvest Caye. The ship’s standout attractions include the award-winning Aqua Slidecoaster and multigenerational Luna Midway amusement deck.
1. Inaugural Voyages
Norwegian Luna commenced its inaugural voyage in Civitavecchia, Italy, on March 10, 2026, and will arrive in Miami on March 23 to begin a series of three- to seven-day Caribbean and Bahamas cruises. Following a christening ceremony on March 27, the ship will operate multiple sailings to Great Stirrup Cay and Harvest Caye through November.
2. Onboard Innovations
The 144,000-gross-ton vessel features multigenerational attractions such as the Aqua Slidecoaster—recently named Best Water Park Ride—and the outdoor Luna Midway carnival deck. Additional amenities include the two-story Mandara Spa, the adults-only Vibe Beach Club, a range of stateroom categories and high-value productions like “Elton: A Celebration of Elton John.”
3. Itineraries and Capacity Impact
From April through November, Luna will offer three- to seven-day sailings covering private islands and key Eastern Caribbean ports such as Puerto Plata and St. Thomas, before transitioning to Western Caribbean routes in late 2026. This deployment adds significant berths to NCLH’s capacity and aims to drive incremental ticket revenue and onboard spending.
