NovaGold Q3 2026 loss widens to $36 million
NG•NovaGold posted a third-quarter net loss of $36 million, or $0.08 per share, for the quarter ended Aug. 31, 2026. The company said Donlin Gold’s feasibility study remains on track for completion in 2027 and its planned all-share acquisition of Paulson’s 40% stake is expected by year-end.

NovaGold posted a net loss of $36 million, or $0.08 per share, for the quarter ended Aug. 31, 2026. Net third-quarter operational cash expenditures rose to $28.1 million, including $24.8 million for Donlin Gold and $3.3 million in corporate costs.
2. Cash and Donlin Gold
Cash and term deposits were $343.39 million as of Aug. 31, while total assets edged down to $573.29 million. Donlin Gold’s feasibility study remains on track for completion in 2027, with Fluor integrating engineering work and a Class 3 estimate underway.
3. Planned ownership increase
NovaGold agreed to acquire Paulson’s 40% stake in Donlin Gold in an all-share deal, which would lift NovaGold’s ownership to 100%. The deal is expected to close by year-end.
