Novo Nordisk raised its full-year 2026 adjusted sales and operating profit forecast for the third time this year, to between 2% growth and a 2% decline at constant exchange rates. The previous range was flat to a 6% decline. The company said the improved outlook reflected higher expectations for GLP-1 sales in the United States and international markets, with growth expected internationally and a decline in the United States.
Wegovy pill sales reached 5.39 billion Danish crowns in the third quarter, up 53% from the second quarter and above the 4.62 billion consensus. U.S. prescriptions totaled about 3.6 million during the quarter and more than 8 million since the January launch. Adjusted operating profit was 31.72 billion crowns, versus analyst estimates of 28.39 billion, while adjusted sales were 79.20 billion crowns against 73.22 billion expected. Novo said it will cut U.S. list prices for Wegovy and Ozempic to $675 per month from January 1, a move it expects to affect 2027 cash flow.
