Novo Nordisk says real-world OCTANE study shows 4.1% average weight loss after switch to Wegovy pill
NVO•Novo Nordisk said patients switching from injectable GLP-1 weight-loss drugs to its once-daily Wegovy pill lost an average of 4.1% of their weight over three months in the real-world OCTANE study.

Novo Nordisk disclosed results from the real-world OCTANE study, which had been presented at EASD 2026 on Sept. 30 in Milan. Patients switching from injectable GLP-1 weight-loss drugs to the once-daily Wegovy pill continued to lose weight over three months, and a meaningful share moved below the clinical obesity threshold.
2. Pill availability
Wegovy pill has launched in the US, UAE, UK and Germany, with additional market launches planned in coming quarters.
