Novo Nordisk says Wegovy cuts liver fat to normal levels in 88.5% of STEP UP subgroup by week 72
NVO•Novo Nordisk said a post hoc analysis found 88.5% of adults with obesity and elevated liver fat in a STEP UP trial subgroup reached normal liver-fat levels after 72 weeks of Wegovy treatment.

Novo Nordisk presented a post hoc analysis of the STEP UP program at EASD 2026. It found that 88.5% of adults with obesity and elevated liver fat in the subgroup moved into the normal range during 72 weeks of treatment.
