Novo Resources to Drill 2,500m Aircore at Wyloo After Polymetallic Finds
Novo Resources will begin 2,500m of aircore drilling at Wyloo in late April to test polymetallic targets that returned elevated antimony, silver, zinc, lead and gold samples, marking the first drill campaign there. The company slated five fence-line holes at Cronus and 6,000m of reverse-circulation drilling at Balla Balla.
1. Wyloo Drilling Campaign
Novo Resources plans to commence approximately 2,500 metres of aircore drilling at its Wyloo project in late April, following weather-related delays. This inaugural drill program will test a target defined by surface sampling that yielded elevated antimony, silver, zinc, lead and gold, aiming to evaluate a potential hydrothermal polymetallic system.
2. Cronus Exploration
At the Cronus project near Karratha, the company will drill five fence lines to test extensions of mineralisation highlighted by neighbouring explorers. Previous work at Cronus returned promising gold intersections, and these fence lines are designed to confirm continuity and target further follow-up.
3. Balla Balla Phase Two
Novo Resources is preparing a second drilling phase at Balla Balla comprising around 6,000 metres of reverse-circulation drilling. With targeting refined to two key zones after analysing over 20,000 metres drilled in 2025, this program aims to tighten drill spacing and extend mineralisation at depth.
4. Funding and Outlook
With exploration funding secured, Novo Resources is positioned to deliver a steady stream of drilling results through mid-2026. The multiple simultaneous campaigns at Wyloo, Cronus and Balla Balla provide a sequence of catalysts for investors as each phase of work advances.
