NRG Energy backs bipartisan American Affordability and Jobs Act
NRG•NRG Energy backed the Bipartisan American Affordability and Jobs Act in a letter to the administration and bipartisan Senate sponsors. The legislation would increase permitting certainty, accelerate energy infrastructure investment, expand market access for distributed energy resources and require covered data centers to bear their incremental transmission costs.

NRG Energy said it backed the Bipartisan American Affordability and Jobs Act in a letter to the administration and bipartisan Senate sponsors. The legislation would increase permitting certainty, accelerate energy infrastructure investment and expand market access for distributed energy resources. It would also require covered data centers to bear their incremental transmission costs, protecting existing customers from subsidizing new demand.
