Nuburu expands directed-energy platform into US, NATO law enforcement markets

Nuburu expanded its directed-energy optical platform into U.S. and NATO law enforcement and public security via subsidiary Lyocon.

Development began on a Public-Security Dazzler line in handheld, weapon-mounted, vehicle, and fixed-site formats for non-lethal escalation control.

The systems share a single photonics core with Nuburu’s counter-UAS optical-denial products, aiming to lower unit costs through cross-program scale.

Lyocon is advancing a pipeline of prospective customers across the U.S. and NATO, at varying stages of evaluation.

Preliminary talks started with U.S. and European firearms and electro-optics manufacturers to speed qualification, integration, and distribution.
