NuCana said the European Patent Office granted a composition-of-matter patent covering its cancer drug candidate NUC-7738. The company said the candidate has more than 85 issued patents worldwide, including similar composition patents in the United States and China, and is being evaluated with Keytruda in a Phase 1/2 study for PD-1 inhibitor-resistant metastatic melanoma.
