Nucor invests $105 million to expand Indiana utility towers and structures plant
NUE•Nucor will invest $105 million to expand its Towers & Structures facility in Crawfordsville, Indiana, pending approvals. The project is expected to add 100 jobs with average annual wages of $87,500.
1. Expansion plans
The project will add more than 120,000 square feet of manufacturing space, increased automation and new production equipment. Added capacity will target utility poles and related products for U.S. power transmission and distribution infrastructure. The site currently employs 328 workers.
