Nuvve Inks 60MW/120MWh Romanian BESS, Boosts European Capacity Above 150MW
Nuvve Holding and OMNIA Global will deploy a 60MW/120MWh BESS in Braşov, raising their announced European capacity to over 150MW across three sites. All projects start commercial operations in 2026 and will deliver $250,000–$500,000 per MW annually, with Nuvve earning consulting and a 9% grid aggregation fee.
1. Project Expansion in Romania
Nuvve Holding and OMNIA Global have formalized a third stand-alone BESS agreement via SPV Braşov 60 for a 60MW/120MWh installation in Braşov, Romania. This follows 50MW in Sweden and 40MW in Austria, bringing partnered capacity to over 150MW.
2. Consolidated European BESS Portfolio
The collaboration gives Nuvve access to OMNIA’s development pipeline exceeding 700MW across 16 European projects in Austria, Romania and Bulgaria, all at various development stages.
3. Revenue Model and Fees
Nuvve will secure consulting fees and a 9% grid aggregation fee on revenues, leveraging its GIVe platform for grid aggregation and dispatch across markets like FCR, aFRR and balancing services. Annual revenues are projected between $250,000 and $500,000 per megawatt.
4. Project Timeline and Operations
All three sites are slated to commence commercial operations in the fourth quarter of 2026, marking the start of recurring high-margin revenue streams for Nuvve’s energy storage platform exceeding 150MW across multiple countries.
