The front-of-the-meter system features a four-hour discharge capability and will be managed by Nuvve’s proprietary GIVe platform, which optimizes charging and discharging cycles to support grid stability and renewable energy integration.
3. Market and Strategic Impact
Once operational, the project will participate in Japan’s Supply and Demand Adjustment Market and the Japan Electric Power Exchange, offering potential recurring revenue and strengthening Nuvve’s presence in the country’s expanding energy storage sector.
4. Financial Terms and Future Outlook
The deal includes an upfront customer deposit of approximately $928,000, and Nuvve will provide ongoing operations, maintenance, and aggregation services. This agreement follows a partnership targeting over 1 GW of battery storage in Europe, underlining the company’s broader growth strategy.
