Nvidia and Akamai to embed zero-trust AI security in BlueField-4 STX platform
NVDA•Nvidia and Akamai will integrate Akamai Guardicore Segmentation with Nvidia’s Vera BlueField-4 STX and DOCA platform to enforce zero-trust security in AI data paths, with solutions arriving in H2 2026 and expanded in H1 2027. Nvidia shares held at $225 even as its stock rose about 6% vs. Bitcoin’s decline.
1. Expanded Nvidia-Akamami Collaboration
Nvidia and Akamai are broadening their partnership to embed security directly into AI infrastructure. The deal pairs Akamai Guardicore Segmentation with Nvidia’s Vera BlueField-4 STX architecture and leverages the Nvidia DOCA software stack to apply security policies within the data path of accelerated computing systems.
2. Zero-Trust Security in AI Infrastructure
The integration moves beyond traditional perimeter or host-based models by enforcing Zero Trust principles at the workload level. Policies are defined by workload identity and runtime behavior, enabling granular control over AI workload communications across cloud, Kubernetes, data center and edge environments without adding overhead to GPUs or CPUs.
3. Availability Timeline and Market Response
The joint solution is slated for release in the second half of 2026, with broader platform support rolling out through the first half of 2027. Nvidia shares were little changed at $225 while AI-related stocks climbed roughly 6%, outpacing declines in crypto markets.
