Nvidia Cites ‘Very Robust’ Growth Capacity, Debuts Vera CPU and RTX Spark
NVDA•Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang said at Computex that its manufacturing capacity can support “very, very robust growth” in GPUs and CPUs, despite some persistent supply constraints. He previewed the Vera data-center CPU and RTX Spark PC chip, underscoring Nvidia’s core role in an AI hardware surge that drove 45% gains for leading enablers.
1. Manufacturing Capacity and Constraints
At Computex, Jensen Huang stated that Nvidia’s current GPU and CPU manufacturing capacity is sufficient to support “very, very robust growth,” while cautioning that certain supply bottlenecks persist. He noted that although overall output can meet surging AI demand, specific components and foundry slot availability remain tight.
2. New AI Chips: Vera CPU and RTX Spark
Huang showcased the upcoming Vera data-center CPU as a major driver of future revenue, projecting it to enhance Nvidia’s lead in AI infrastructure. He also unveiled the RTX Spark PC chip aimed at integrating advanced AI capabilities directly into laptops and desktops, positioning Nvidia against AMD, Intel and Apple in the personal computing segment.
3. Market Impact and Stock Performance
Nvidia is a key AI enabler whose shares have surged roughly 45% since late February, helping power a 10% rebound in the broader index. AI-related stocks now represent nearly half of the index’s market capitalization, highlighting Nvidia’s pivotal role in the concentrated, theme-driven rally.
