NVIDIA launched Halos for Robotics, the industry's first full-stack safety system for robots and physical AI, integrating IGX Thor compute, Holoscan Sensor Bridge connectivity, Halos OS software and an ANAB-accredited inspection lab. Agility is first to embed IGX Thor and Halos Core into its Digit humanoid robots for factories.
NVIDIA has unveiled Halos for Robotics, the industry's first comprehensive safety system that unifies AI compute and safety functions for physical AI and robots. The system extends the Halos autonomous vehicle safety architecture to robotics, aiming to standardize safety across dynamic industrial environments.
Halos for Robotics spans hardware, software and certification support: IGX Thor platforms provide industrial-grade AI compute with built-in safety, the Holoscan Sensor Bridge offers real-time sensor connectivity, Halos OS delivers safety-related operating functions, and the ANAB-accredited AI Systems Inspection Lab helps prepare integrations for third-party certification.
Agility, a humanoid robotics innovator, is the first partner to integrate IGX Thor and Halos Core into its Digit robots for factory applications. The collaboration will validate safety layers against standards like IEC 61508 and ISO 13849, enabling robots to safely operate alongside human workers.
