** Chip designer Nvidia is expected to report Q2 revenue of $92.17 billion vs $46.74 billion a year ago, and adjusted EPS of $2.10 vs $1.05 a year ago, per LSEG.
** Investors likely to focus on whether the company's latest Rubin chips can drive another period of explosive growth.
Pricing, earnings record and valuation
** Bloomberg News reported on Saturday that some of Nvidia's largest customers have been told prices of servers containing its AI chips will rise by more than 15% in many cases.
** NVDA has beaten Wall Street's expectations for earnings in all of the past eight reporting periods, per LSEG.
** Analyst recommendations on the stock include 60 "strong buy" or "buy" ratings, two "hold" ratings and one "sell" rating.
** Wall Street's median 12-mo price target for NVDA is $300, sharply above the stock's Wednesday price of $211.26.
** NVDA's stock has climbed ~13% YTD, slightly outperforming the Dow's .DJI roughly 11% rise.
Analyst expectations and supply constraints
** Wedbush analysts, who have an "outperform" rating on the stock, write that "supply, not demand, remains a limiting factor" for the company.
** They expect NVDA to "exceed its guidance and to guide October above Street" given a strong hyperscale spending backdrop and a supply position that is among the best in the industry "at a point where component and material access, not end demand, is defining shipments."
